ER's and Fairies

Damaya's had an eventful past two weeks. She fell down and landed on her right elbow. Screamed for hours! So the next morning I took her to the ER, she wasnt moving her arm and if you touched it she'd scream like you were poking her with a hot iron. After even more screaming and a very likely new found fear of ER nurses Damaya came home with a temporary cast on.

Poor baby.

I got her a new dress cuz her arm couldnt fit through any of her outfits. I even bought a few shirts and cut long sleeves and made them short so when she got her plaster cast on she could wear more then dresses. But when we got the the Pediatrician Ortho Doctor they took her temp cast off and Damaya started moving her arm and picking things up like nothing had ever happened! So happy, no broken arm, just a very badly bruised elbow and some new clothes.

Harry had a birthday...I'm going to say he's 9.

I finally finished Damaya's chest of drawers. This is a before pic of what can only be called the most boring dresser ever! White every where with glimpse of blue from it's last paint job and yellow on the front. That bottom drawer is white cause I primed it. I also painted Damaya's name. It has purple flowers.

This is her "new" chest of drawers. Tinkerbell with sparkly dragonfly knobs!

I know it's freaking awesome. Didnt paint the fairy's, just used decals. Damaya loves it.

Damaya's Birthday!!!!!

My baby is one whole year old now. I made her cupcakes to destroy but she was weirded out by the frosting and didnt want much to do with them. They were tasty though.
She got clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Hymas (I love Ross!). And behind her is her new forward facing car seat, she picked it out herself.
She also got a Tinkerbell cup, bowl and plate. Damaya likes the bowl the best. Damaya loves Tinkerbell and so does her mom.
Damaya got a singing cake! You blow on it to turn the 'candles' off, it's kind of cool. I already have the songs memorized.
Books! Damaya loves books! They are tasty and good with ketchup.
The moment we have all been waiting for... Damaya's video!

crazy cat video

So the other day i was working on Damaya's birthday video and Harry was on my lap. Such a good boy. And as he was congratulating me on my awesomeness for compiling the first year of Damaya's life(that will be up after Saturday)and he says to me. "Why dont I get a video? I've been a good cat. I've cuddled you and hissed at Jared for over two years."
I agreed. But now I look like a crazy cat lady. I made a blog vid for my cats! It was going to be a 2 min thing but no, I added this song cuz it's funny.... I couldnt just leave it hanging after 2 minuets...
Sorry that 20 cute pictures turned into 73. I swear it's funny... or maybe its not and I've fully entered Crazy-Cat-Lady-Land. But just the outskirts, I need a few more cats to be granted citizenship.

Damaya's day at the terribly large bathtub

I want to tell you about my day. I was all excited to go to Multnomah Falls (Whatever it's called, people have funky words out here)
Then we got there but daddy had to pee, this is me looking at the men's bathroom wondering whats taking so long.
Dun Dun DUN! this loud roaring happened, the biggest and scariest bathtub EVER came out of nowhere!
Damaya; "Dont make me go in there Daddy! No! why are you smiling while I'm crying?!"
Daddy and Mommy seem to be having a good time though.
Then we went up a path to get even closer. You know what was there? A freaking questionable looking bridge!
Damaya; "Dont make me go on the bridge Mommy. It doesnt look safe. It must have been built in like 1902! Thats older then Grandma!"
So then we went back down the path, but we had to stop and look at a smaller waterfall on the way. At least it didnt make scary sounds.
Damaya; "Please take me away from the bathtub! I want my milk!"
